Is Peloton HSA/FSA Eligible?

Peloton, in partnership with Truemed, offers a pathway for select HSA/FSA plan holders to use their funds toward Peloton hardware and potentially membership fees. Below is how the process typically works — please check with your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm eligibility.

1. Choose “Pay with HSA/FSA funds” at checkout

   • When buying a Peloton Bike, Bike+, or Tread, select the option to pay with HSA/FSA. You will be redirected to the Truemed website.

2. Take a brief health survey

   • Answer questions about your HSA/FSA and your health. This helps determine if you meet eligibility requirements for a Letter of Medical Necessity to be issued.

3. Complete checkout through Truemed

   • You may be able to pay with your HSA/FSA card directly. If you must use a personal credit/debit card, you can then request reimbursement from your HSA/FSA plan after checkout, provided your purchase is approved.

4. Receive your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)

   • A licensed medical provider will review your responses. If you qualify, Truemed sends you an LMN that states why the Peloton equipment is medically necessary for you. If not, you can cancel your order any time before delivery.

Your monthly Peloton Membership fee may also be eligible for HSA/FSA coverage. Here’s how:

1. Obtain an LMN that specifically references your Membership by taking the clinical intake questionnaire here.

2. Attempt Payment with HSA/FSA Card

   • Add your HSA/FSA card to your Peloton Membership billing. If it processes successfully, you can continue using HSA/FSA funds.

3. If Card Is Declined

   • Use a regular credit/debit card to avoid interruption of service.

   • Submit a reimbursement claim to your HSA/FSA administrator according to their instructions (often once per calendar year). Make sure to keep your LMN and receipts.
