Does Truemed Work for HRAs or Limited Purpose FSAs?

Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and Limited Purpose FSAs have different reimbursement requirements compared to traditional HSAs and FSAs. Truemed currently supports the reimbursement process primarily for traditional HSA/FSA accounts. Please review your specific plan details to determine which categories your account covers.

• Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs):

  • HRAs are employer-funded accounts designed to reimburse employees for qualified medical expenses.

  • Typically, HRAs support specific categories, such as vision and dental expenses, or may cover deductible expenses.

  • Because of these category restrictions, many HRAs do not support a broad range of health care services.

• Limited Purpose FSAs:

  • These accounts are generally restricted to dental and vision expenses or may cover certain deductible expenses.

  • Like HRAs, Limited Purpose FSAs are not intended to cover the full spectrum of medical expenses that traditional FSAs support.

• Traditional HSA/FSA Accounts:
